A Wider Circle
awidercircle.org

Based in Silver Spring, their mission is to combat poverty by providing furnishings, job training, English instruction, work-worthy clothing, childcare and prenatal instruction, and a full complement of dignity-raising programs. They will accept mattresses, which they sanitize for donation, and dignity-condition furniture. Given a reasonable lead-time, they will pick up furniture. Donations of smaller items can be delivered to their facility on Brookville Road.

Interfaith Works

Consider making a financial donation to any of these organizations, which can apply funds to their facility needs, trucks for picking up materials, and staffing.

Please donate items in dignity condition,
"free of rips, stains, or excessive wear, missing parts, and ready to use."
The mission of A Wider Circle is to end poverty. Our holistic approach integrates on-the-ground services for the creation of stable homes, workforce development, and neighborhood revitalization. We also seek to develop large-scale solutions that incorporate greater awareness and engagement by the community.
