The GFCA encourages members to plan block parties to foster relationships across the neighborhood. GFCA members in good standing who wish to host a block party as a meet-and-greet for their neighbors can request a reimbursement of up to $100 to defray costs. Allowable expenses can include food, serving and dinnerware, decorations, etc., but may not include adult beverages. Please submit the online form below prior to the block party.
Requests to the GFCA Board must be received before the block party, must include a secondary host/planner, and are subject to funds availability. Reimbursement can be requested after the event, with invoices submitted to the treasurer@greaterfarmland.org.
The GFCA encourages residents planning block parties to follow all appropriate laws and permitting processes. Montgomery County outlines the Neighborhood Block Party Permit process here. Please note that an application for a permit must be made at least 4 weeks prior to the planned event.
